How do you make applying for funding the easiest part of someone's day?
FundThrough is an invoice funding company innovating the practice of invoice factoring and invoice finance for the modern age. Combining client focussed research and visual design, my work here reimagines invoice factoring as modern, simple and human-centred.
In this project, I was tasked with designing an effective solution to a slow activation rate and increasingly frustrated new clients. I prototyped solutions with clients, and collaborated cross functionally with our onboarding team to make thoughtful decisions.

Reducing friction & preventing errors
A consolidated onboarding page replaces fragmented tasks being done in and out of the app. I also designed variants for our list items to create transparency and highlight errors or undone items. This decreased our preventable errors by 20%.
Multiplayor
Adding the ability to invite a collaborator to an application saves time & emails looking for missing pieces. Letting clients do everything in the app at the own pace rather than email also impacted our ready to activate rate, raising it by 45%.
Doubling our sign up rate
Adding the ability to connect to accounting platforms, banking, identity verification streamlined our review process. Making it easy to see a terms sheet reduced email questions, and connecting other app features like the ability to add a customer (to increase funding limit) to onboarding further reduced friction & manual work.
